No. 01 · About Me
I’m Nguyen Le Quoc Bao, a student at Chu Van An High School for the Gifted in Hanoi, Class of 2027. Mathematics is a big part of my life, alongside building projects, drawing, and time with friends.
I left Vĩnh Phúc to continue my education at Archimedes Dong Anh School. In sixth grade, I was in a regular class, and mathematics was the subject in which I felt most capable. I was often the student with the answer, but I had not yet imagined how much I could learn from being around people who approached problems differently. That change was still ahead of me.
During an examination, I mistakenly wrote “6C1”, the school’s mathematics-focused class, instead of my own. My teacher assumed I wanted to join; I did not correct her. The following year, I entered 7C1. My classmates challenged me to ask more questions, try unfamiliar things, and learn from others. Their creativity, confidence, and kindness mattered as much as their ability. Many became close friends, showing me how deeply an environment can shape our growth.
I brought that openness to Chu Van An High School for the Gifted. Mathematics remained my foundation, while projects such as MathPlay and EnviroAir, research, and engineering internships gave me ways to put ideas into practice.
The lesson of 7C1 became a habit: seek challenges, listen, and keep exploring. At Archimedes, I discovered how an environment could change me; at Chu Van An, I began taking a more active role in shaping my education.
Beyond the Classroom
Outside schoolwork, I draw, work out, and practise cheerdance. My paintings often focus on bodies in motion. Cheerdance has also become a way to spend time with friends, especially during late-night practices at school.
Looking Ahead
I’m still deciding where my interests will take me. For now, I want to keep studying mathematics, building projects, and making time for art.
